The Lee Group’s niche: Positioning community banks to compete aggressively with regional and national banks
HOUSTON, TX (August 3, 2008) – A Houston-based firm that provides strategic marketing and advertising services to hundreds of community banks and credit unions nationwide has a new face and a new name.
Today, the company formerly known as Ann Lee & Associates has rebranded as The Lee Group. The new company website is www.theleegroup.us.com. “In the beginning, it was just me,” said Ann Lee, president and CEO. “Our new name, The Lee Group, better reflects the strong team we have become.” Lee started her business nearly 30 years ago out of her Beaumont home. The company relocated to Houston seven years ago and still maintains a Beaumont office.
The Lee Group creates branding, advertising, and marketing campaigns for more than 900 community banks and credit unions in 49 states, including Broadway Bank in San Antonio, Community Bank of Texas, First Victoria, 1st Bank Oklahoma and Morrill & Janes Bank in Merriam, Kansas. Lee said the company is among the few creative shops in the country that exclusively serves independently-owned financial institutions including community banks and credit unions.
“We support the launch of almost every kind of banking product and service available so that community banks and credit unions can gain market share against their larger regional and national financial competitors. In order to compete with mega-banks,” said Lee, “community banks must have a focused, differentiated presence. That is our niche.”
The Lee Group has earned numerous awards from the American Bankers Association, Independent Bankers Association of Texas, American Advertising Federation of Southeast Texas and 10th District, and American Marketing Association Houston Chapter, for its marketing efforts on behalf of community banks.
