HOUSTON, TX – April 28, 2008 – Houston media expert Cynthia Gabriel will share lessons-learned as the director of communications for Mayor Bill White’s Hurricane Katrina relief program when she makes the keynote address at a meeting of the Public Relations Society of America May 7.

HOUSTON - April 25, 2008 – A Houston PR firm has won the Bronze Quill Award of Excellence, the highest honor the Houston chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators bestows on members of the public relations profession.

Bayou City Public Relations, a seven-year-old Houston PR firm headed by Sharon Dotson, won the Bronze Quill Award of Excellence April 24, at a banquet at the Junior League of Houston. “If a business has been accredited by the BBB, it means the BBB has determined that the business meets accreditation standards which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints,” said Dan Parsons, president of the nonprofit organization that encourages and supports business best practices.
