Ford is attending in honor of his 92-year-old mother Betty Ford, who lives in Rancho Mirage, CA. The former first lady famously and publicly fought breast cancer in 1974.

HOUSTON, TX – April 20, 2008 – Accounting and inventory-control software company Edible Software was featured in the March issue of the 14,000-circulation magazine, “Seafood Business.”

The magazine reported the launch of Edible Software’s newest food accounting software module, Edible Scan. Henri Morris, the CPA who is president and CEO of the company said the new module enables seafood distributors to cut payroll costs.

HOUSTON, TX (March 17, 2009) – Twenty-seven Houston-area Massage Envy clinics were honored with the 2009 Hope Award for Corporate Philanthropy for the company’s support in the fight against breast cancer. The award gala, hosted by Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Houston Affiliate, took place February 28, at the Omni Hotel. The celebration recognized Houston businesses, individuals and organizations whose support helps save lives and end breast cancer.

Houston Massage Envy regional developer Lance O’Pry accepted the award on behalf of the 27 Massage Envy clinic owners who have raised more than $120,000 over the last two years by sponsoring Massage for the Cure, a one-day, 14-hour event where participants receive free one-hour massages in exchange for a donation of any amount to Komen.

HOUSTON, TX (February 15, 2009) – A New England produce company that voluntarily recalled a line of snacks manufactured from peanuts processed in the Georgia company at the center of a nationwide outbreak of salmonella-related illness, attributed food accounting software operating on the produce company’s computers for helping trace customers who bought the products.

Jim Schofield, an executive with Don Shapiro Produce, Inc., in Everett, MA, said he did not know if the peanut products his company recalled were tainted by salmonella poison, but he said the company is aware that peanuts processed at the Georgia plant were ingredients in the snack products.
